Car Insurance Pontiac (Car Insurance). A question for commercial ( current or retired ) pilots.?

A question for commercial ( current or retired ) pilots.? Throughout your career, what was ( or is ) the airplane that you loved or prefer flying the most and conversely, what is (was) the one one aircraft that you absolutely hated to fly? Just curious. And thank you all who answer.

I was in the Army for 28 years and flew both airplanes and helicopters. Each had it's advantages and was fun in their own way. I flew the OH-58 Kiowa Scout helicopter. It was small, nimble, and I flew it by myself much of the time. That feeling of freedom was fantastic. We often took the front doors off so it was like a flying a Jeep or dune buggy. Great fun. I flew the 707 (also 720), the 727 and the 747 - I liked them equally - I've never hated any airplane. I've enjoyed every single one in one way or other. My favorite? It's a toss up. This is one of them: http://18aviationcompanyotternest.webs.com/N336AK2.jpg

Pontiac . How to Replace an Air Filter on a Mercedes Benz C320

The air filter's purpose is to filter the air before it reaches the engine, catching potentially harmful particles. The air filter should be changed once every year, but may need to be changed more often if the car frequently drives on dusty roads. A dirty air filter decreases the Mercedes' performance and lowers the average miles per gallon. Changing the air filter is a simple task and should not take longer than one hour.
Difficulty:Easy
Instructions Things You'll Need
new air filter Philips screwdriver

Step by Step :
1
Open your hood. Remove the front part of the black engine cover by grabbing both sides and pulling straight up.
2
Remove the vent tube and both intake ducts. The vent tube is black and located near the middle area underneath the removed engine cover. The ducts are attached to a large tube and are located on each end of the air intake box. You will need to twist the ducts to remove them.
3
Pull up on the air intake box (the large black cover) once the vent tube and both ducts are disconnected.
4
Turn the air intake box upside down and remove the eight screws around the air filter chambers with the Philips screwdriver. There are four screws around each of the two chambers.
5
Remove the old air filters and install new air filters. If you use K&N reusable filters, properly clean and dry the filters before reinstalling them. K&N filters can be cleaned and reused for the lifetime of the Mercedes.
6
Clean the air filter chambers to remove excess dirt and debris from the air filters.
7
Put the air filter chambers back on the air intake box and screw in the eight screws to secure the air filter chambers.
8
Put the intake air box back on the engine and reattach the two intake ducts and vent tube. Push down on the front engine cover to lock it in place.

Pontiac . How to Make a Chevy Truck Faster

Chevrolet trucks have been manufactured with similar engines and drive train setup for nearly three decades. This makes upgrading them relatively easy, and inexpensive bolt-on parts can dramatically improve performance. The average backyard mechanic will spend about two hours making these upgrades.
Difficulty:Moderately Easy
Instructions Things You'll Need
Socket set Screwdrivers Pliers

Step by Step :
1
Replace the air intake and cleaner with an open element filter. The stock intake and filter are optimized for a balance of economy and performance. If an open element filter is used, the engine can draw in air more quickly and have improved acceleration. An open element filter has the paper mesh filter exposed to the outside air instead of protected in a restrictive air box. If the truck is fuel injected, be sure the new intake can accommodate any necessary sensors.
2
Use spark plugs with a higher heat value. If the stock plug was rated at a heat value of 3, then getting 4 or 5 HV plugs will dramatically increase performance by burning fuel completely. Hot plugs may cause the engine to run at higher temperatures.
3
Replace the ignition coil and spark plug wires with high-performance models. Stock plug wires range from 5 to 7 millimeters, and increasing this size to 8 or higher can increase the amount of power transferred to the plugs. Old ignition coils can decrease in output power over time, and a high performance coil will fire better than the stock version did when it was new.
4
Increase the octane level of the fuel. Several types of gasoline additives will boost take-off power and also help emissions and economy.
5
Replace the engine or transmission. The most speed will be gained by adding more raw power, and installing a new motor or transmission will absolutely increase speed. A motor with more horsepower, or a manual shift transmission (as opposed to automatic) will make the truck faster. Typically these parts are obtained and installed by professionals, but the average mechanic can do this also.
Tips & Warnings
Use protective equipment when working on a truck.

Disconnect the battery before any upgrades.

The choke only limits the air supply; it doesn't prevent all the air from coming in. The resulting fuel/air mixture is richer than the stuff you usually drive on, but the choke returns to normal after the car warms up. )12 Part II: What Makes It Go? Automatic chokes Cars used to have manual chokes, which you controlled by a knob on the dashboard. Today, most cars have automatic chokes that work by means of a spring that coils and uncoils in response to the amount of heat present. This spring eventually causes the butterfly valve to open and close. If you have an automatic choke, chances are that it's controlled by a thermostat located on the outside of the carburetor, either at the top of Butterfly valve Choke thermostat 304 Car Insurance 2009 lexus ls ls460sedan4d 428867

the barrel near the butterfly valve, or near the carburetor at the end of a long rod. The first type looks like a little round cap with little arrows on it that say "Lean" and "Rich." By turning this knob, you can adjust the proportion of air that's allowed into the carburetor barrel past the butterfly. The second type (see the figure below) uses a rod attached to the thermostat to make the butterfly open and close. Fortips on checking and adjusting the choke, see Chapter 13. \ Rod to thermostatic coil The accelerator pump Have you ever wondered what makes your car speed up when you step on the gas pedal? It's a very simple device called an accelerator pump — so unsophisticated that you'd think the inventor would have been embarrassed to suggest such a gadget. When you step on the gas pedal to accelerate, a rod connecting the pedal to a little lever on the outside of the carburetor pushes on a little piston inside the carburetor, which squirts a little extra fuel into the venturi. That extra fuel creates a richer fuel/air mixture, which explodes .Chapter 6: The Fuel System: The Heart and Lungs of Your Car / / •? with a bigger bang in your cylinders, giving ypur car that extra push called acceleration. If your car hesitates when you step on the gas, your accelerator pump may not be working properly. Chapter 13 has instructions for checking and adjusting your accelerator pump. The throttle

The throttle controls the amounts of fuel and air that come into the carburetor (refer to Figure 6-5). The more air, the higher the vacuum in the venturi. The greater the vacuum in the venturi, the more fuel is drawn out of the float bowl and mixed with the air. The richer the fuel/air mixture, the faster the car goes At high speeds, the throttle is wide open to allow a lot of air to come into the carburetor. At low speeds, the throttle closes so that less air can get in. The big lever on the outside of the carburetor (see Figure 6-6) is the throttle arm. It's attached to the gas pedal and controls the throttle, which is a butterfly device (very much like the butterfly valve) located at the bottom of the carburetor, where it joins the intake manifold. Figure 6-6: The throttle arm on the outside of the carburetor. Part II: What Makes It Go?. The idle speed screvO The idle speed screw is a little screw located at the bottom of your carbure tor, on the outside, right near the throttle. It keeps the throttle from closing completely when your foot is off the gas pedal and the car is idling. (Idling is what the car does when it just sits there humming to itself without moving.

The idle speed screw is easy to adjust and can do wonders for your engine performance and fuel consumption if it's set properly after you tune your ignition system. If you turn it clockwise with a screwdriver, your car idles faster; turn it counterclockwise, and your car idles more slowly. Chapter 13 has more detailed instructions. The idle mixture screw The idle mixture screw looks like the idle speed screw, but it controls the proportion of air and fuel that get to your engine while your car is idling. By turning this screw, you can determine how rich the fuel/air mixture is. If you adjust it properly, you can get maximum engine performance and still save fuel. A carburetor with more than one barrel can have more than one idle mixture screw. The screw (or screws) may reside in a variety of places, depending on your vehicle. Figures 6-3 and 6-7 show a couple of possible locations. You can identify an idle mixture screw by the fact that, if you turn it counterclockwise, the end of the screw comes out of the carburetor. However, because of state .Chapter 6: The Fuel System: The Heart and Lungs of Your Car and federal smog standards, most car manufacturers place limiter caps on the idle mixture screws or hide them behind metal plugs to prevent owners from adjusting them. If the idle mixture screw(s) on your vehicle are adjustable, you can find instructions for adjusting them in Chapter 13. The idle air bleed screw Some cars don't have an idle speed screw. Instead, they have an idle air bleed screw (or idle air adjusting screw, as it is sometimes called) that determines how much extra air is allowed to come in when the throttle is closed. When the throttle is closed during idling, some air should still come through to prevent the formation of carbon and gum deposits that tend to collect around the throttle area. By turning this screw clockwise, you can decrease the amount of air that gets in and slow down your idle. By turning it counterclockwise, you get more air and more idle speed. Air bleed screws are usually found on Lincolns, Cadillacs, and other big cars. Chapter 13 tells you how to adjust the idle air bleed screw. The idle stop solenoid
